Come on out to NYC's famous Greenwich Village, and meet the power players, beautiful people, and A-listers! It's a sneak preview of the upcoming Saturday Experience event series at Desire, brought to you by The FUTURE, the new multimedia experience for and about the gay community.
Tonight's event showcases the Broadway show FELA! and the annual Nubian Dreams Cruise. FELA! celebrates the life and work of socially-conscious composer and musician Fela Kuti, whom James Brown remembered as one of the "originators of funk". Kuti devoted himself to his music, and through this medium raised awareness of his people's plight all overe the world. The Broadway revival of his work is certain to be a hit, and you can get acquainted with the show and its cast tonight!
Also featured tonight is the legendary, annual Nubian Dreams Cruise, scheduled in 2010 from August 9-14. The legendary gay sea party will set sail aboard the Carnival Glory cruise liner. Hosted by cruise producers James Saunders and Laurence Pinckney, this oceanic delight is a summer extravaganza that's not to be missed!
